Fruit Compote with Dates

Whether as a dessert or a snack, this fruit compote with fresh dates tastes always perfect!

For 4 small bowls / Preparation time 10 minutes / Cooking time 15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 4 apples
  • 1 branch rhubarb
  • 1 vanilla pod
  • Some dates of your choice

Directions:

  1. Wash and peel the fruits. Cut the vanilla pod in half and scrape it. Cut the fruits into small pieces and steam with the vanilla (pod and grains).
  2. Take away the vanilla pod and mix the fruits in the blender until you get the desired consistency.
  3. Let cool in the fridge. Serve the compote in bowls and add some dates like for example Ajwa, Safawi or Sukari.

You can keep the compote in the fridge for several days.
